UGA Football Gala

After Cohen's Little Miss Echo pageant it was time for Mama & Daddy to get all dressed up for our night out at the UGA Football gala. We were very excited about our date night with several of our friends. With so much surrounding the firing of Coach Richt we were all excited about an opportunity to see Coach Richt one more time and also it is just a great night to see all of our favorite football players-the Bulldawgs! It didn't take long for our ultimate wish to come true for the night. When we arrived we decided to take pictures together while we looked "fresh". lol! We went to the front of the room to get some photos and lo and behold out walks Coach Richt right where we were. He had not come in the front doors so we were definitely at the right place at the right time. Coach Richt, being the great man he is, talked with all of us and took pictures. Hello, night made! We just told him how much we appreciated all his work at Georgia, how much we would miss him, and how we knew God had great things in store for him at Miami. He was such a great person which is what makes losing him so hard. I know we have great things in store with Kirby Smart but it is never easy saying goodbye. I think we are all way too attached to our team, what do you think?! LOL! I am glad to have had the chance to meet Coach Richt though. He has given Georgia fans many many great memories.

At this gala each table has a player that sits at the table with you. Our player was Jonathan Ledbetter who was extremely nice. We had a fun time with him and he cut up with everyone. We will be watching for good things from him next year!

The rest of night was the awards presentation for the players and a tribute video for Coach Richt. I was very glad to see that and it was very touching. Tears were shed for sure!

After the program was over everyone is free to get autographs and pictures with the players. We all went to certain players that we wanted to be sure to see. The only one we missed was Nick Chubb. HE had to leave out because he was still on crutches which is hard to stand on. We will make sure to see him next year! We loved our date night out with friends! Its always fun to see the Dawgs!
