A Fun Day in Atlanta

We love long weekends at our house!  Who doesn't right?!  Even though we just had a long break it was nice having an extra day to have some fun.  Usually we are skiing this weekend but this year we were home and decided for a fun day trip.  We had been talking about taking Bryce to the aquarium so we decided to do that and while we were in Atlanta to visit the College Football Hall of Fame.  Both Kate and Bryce love to play football and we are huge Georgia fans so it all just fit.  The kids really enjoyed it, especially the field activities.  If you're into football its definitely worth the visit and the aquarium never disappoints.  They are adding on to it so that should be neat to see.  It was a fun day trip and I think they all had a fun time.

We got the biggest laugh out watching Bryce with Kate doing her GameDay announcer.  He was like a little creeper standing over her shoulder, never cracking a smile or anything.

After we left the Football HOF, we ate and then went to the aquarium.  It actually worked out great on the timing because tickets are cheaper to the aquarium after 4 pm, but that still leaves you plenty of time to see the aquarium.  Bryce of course loved the whale sharks.   Kate loved the tropical fish, and I think the rest of us liked that the most too.  Watching all of those fish in those large 2 aquariums is pretty amazing.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

I knew it would probably be mid January before I got this post published...#realexpectations over here.  I hope everyone had a great little holiday break and New Year.  We are off to a good start over here.  Christmas seemed to come and go extra quick this year.  I have to be honest I love Christmas so much but something just felt off and rushed this year which I hate.  I hate to even say that too because it should never be that way but just being honest.  With Thanksgiving being so late this year I think that made it seem to fly by quicker as well.  Kelly's dad (Pop) was very sick the entire month of December and it wasn't until Christmas day and after that he started to feel a tad better.  We were so worried about him.  But he is doing so much better now!  Yay for that.  Just to recap some Christmas fun in pics here is our house on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.

Christmas Eve is pretty low key for us.  We always go to church for the Christmas Eve service at 5 then we go to Kelly's parents' house after.  Sug always cooks a delicious dinner.  This year the girls read everyone Twas the Night Before Christmas.  We came back home to put out cookies for Santa and get everyone in bed.  Our Coco had a hard time going to sleep.  I was wrapping some last minute gifts and I think she was still up at midnight!
Ladies this guy here will always provide free dinner entertainment!  No worries about having a good time!

Santa was good to all the kids this year...I was worried because they definitely had their naughty list moments.

Coco was loving her new Airpods and mountain bike

Sweet Katie Kate!  Playing with a Nerf Gun of course.  Santa brought her a basketball goal!

Little Miss Ellington got an activity seat!

Bryce gave Cohen a cup he had picked out just for her and when she opened it he leaned in and whispered to her..."Its a cup"

Bryce got a Darth Vader mask and light saber for Christmas and he was outside playing with it.  I was laughing so hard watching him.  He loved them both!  These were from the front door windows!

I didn't take many pictures during the day but later that night at my Mama's, Auntie P gave Kate a new beta fish.  She had asked for this and was so excited!  He has been named "Gary" since he has some sponge Bob decor in his tank.

The week between Christmas and New Year's is usually pretty slow for us.  We went to Athens to let Cohen try out her new bike on some trails.  I'm not sure she fell in love with mountain biking but I know her Daddy will be encouraging that little activity more and more.  He loves it.  Kate was not a big fan but she still hasn't quite adjusted to Cohen's old bike.

We also spent some fun time watching football with friends.  Even though Georgia wasn't in the playoffs we always enjoy watching games together and we did watch Georgia win the Sugar Bowl!

Other nights were just spent at home.   I love how much these 3 love their baby sister!

On New Year's Eve we spent the day at the movies.  Our kids have become big Star Wars fans.  They have enjoyed watching them all on Disney+ and so we went to see the newest movie out.  What I loved the most was the recliners.  I was pretty sure I wouldn't make it through the whole movie awake but I did!

On New Year's Eve we rang in the New Year with some of our most favorite people.  We took one last photo at home, minus the hubs who was doing I don't know what.

When it came time to watch the fireworks Bryce went outside for the first time.  He did hold his hands over his ears but small steps!  Ellington was mesmerized by the fireworks.  This isn't a good picture because it was hard holding her and getting one but you can get the point that she was amazed.  It was so precious watching her face.

everyone loved seeing their watch shoot off fireworks at midnight too
Happy New Year

Another year come and gone!  Thanks so much for following along with our family.   2019 was quite a year for us and we have completed our little family!  I know more fun is to come and I can't wait to blog about it.  Probably late but better late than never!  Happy New Year!  I hope 2020 is the best year yet!
