SNOW!!

Last weekend we got the best "surprise"...SNOW!  I say surprise because I can't remember anyone saying we were supposed to get snow, or the forecast calling for snow until maybe Friday night.  Plus here we are so used to crazy weather we never know what to expect.
Saturday we woke up and Cohen actually went to baton practice in Anderson.  Later in the morning it started snowing.  Pretty soon after it started it also started to stick.  WE thought it might be a little dusting but it kept snowing and kept sticking and pretty soon it was so pretty and white outside!  The kids loved it and this turned out to be great snow to play in.  We built a snowman, had snowball fights, and the kids even started a snow "fort" or igloo.  It was just an unexpected, but awesome surprise.
We had planned a shopping trip that afternoon for Cohen's birthday so she was not happy about that being canceled but after she started playing she had fun doing that.  And did end up with a friend coming over so the day wasn't ruined for her after all.
This was Ellington's first snow so we had to take a lot of pictures.  She wasn't that interested but she sure was cute!  We will keep our fingers crossed that we might see another snow.  IF not just bring on spring and the 70 degree weather.  Anything but the flood rains!  Only in GA can you have 71 degree weather, 2 days later a flood, 2 days later snow!

Just missing Cohen in this picture.
Coco was at practice when the snow started

Family picture with everyone...if only Bryce would smile.  I think he was suffering from cold feet at this moment
Coco enjoyed making a few tik toks in the snow

January Recap

Well we are off to a good start with another year.  Its really hard to believe.  2020 has been pretty eventful for us so far.  To start the year off, this sweet baby turned 5 months old!  These months are just flying by!

She indeed has her Daddy hooked!

And her Pop!

Manicure time with LoAn

Kate had a busy month with basketball.  We were at games every Tuesday and Saturday.  She has come such a long way with her basketball and she is loving it.  I'm so proud of how hard she has worked.  Its even more fun because of the sweet friends she plays with!
While their Mommies were cheerleaders together, I think these 2 definitely will be on the court!

Kate would pick where to eat after her games and this night was Burger King with Ellington wearing her crown

Some random pictures from the month...
Kate eating with her chicken bone!  This girl has some strange habits and she has always loved eating her Bar-H stew with a bone!  Don't ask...

One Sunday we were all matchy matchy which definitely calls for a pic!   Just missing the biggest baby!

Bryce has been on a Star Wars kick and I found him talking to Ellington like this.

One night I was cleaning up and this was my sweet view...that little head sticking up is so precious

Cohen and her baton team performed at a basketball game at Anderson University.  Ellington was along for support and of course had to wear her own leotard and have her baton too.

Some other random moments in January...eating lunch with Kate.

Haircuts are fun when you get to see your buddy.

Bryce had a lot of fun going on at preschool this month.  They had pirate day!

Kate got to hold Bentley's newest pet...a bearded dragon
Cohen kicked off competition season in January as well.  She is loving it and having so much fun with her friends/teammates.  This competition was in Columbia and she brought home 2nd place overall.  A good start!

Bryce also had his 100th day of school!  He dressed up like a 100 year old man and he was a cute one!

A typical afternoon at our house looks a little like this below...Football in the yard,  Kate is in full pads and Bryce (aka Rodrigo) is kicking field goals and tackling his sister.  These 2 are a mess.

And we ended the month on another fun note, with a field trip to the Children's Museum in Greenville.  I have been to this museum several times but I had forgotten just how fun it is for kids.  Bryce absolutely loved it!  We could have spent the entire day there and he would have been entertained the whole time.  We will definitely have to go back.  I know he loved having his friends there to play with too so maybe we can play a playdate with a friend.  I know for me it is fun to have someone to talk to while the kids are playing.  It was a little extra exciting because on the day we went it was snowing so hard in Greenville.  Nothing was sticking to the ground but it was so pretty to watch.  Luckily we would get our own snow to play in a week later!

What a fun month and fun start to a New Year!

Sister is always along for the ride...I love my girl!
