Field Trip Fun

Kate and Bryce both had field trips this past week.  Kate's was actually a week ago Friday and Bryce had his on Wednesday.  I love getting a little one on one time with each of them.  Kate was up first with her first grade trip to Legoland.  I wasn't sure I was going to go on her trip but it worked out and I did.  She had a fun time.  I had taken Cohen to Legoland when she was smaller.  She has always loved Legos and now Kate has started being interested in them too.  She really didn't do a lot of building there but she had fun doing each little station and most of all playing with her friends.

Bryce's field trip was to Denver Downs Farm.  He was so excited and was asking me about things he remembered from last year.  He amazes me with everything he can remember.  He had an absolute ball!  He loved feeding the animals, the big slide, the bouncy pillow, cow ride, corn boxes, throwing the balls and of course a hayride to pick out pumpkins.  I'm pretty sure he could have stayed for hours just repeating all of his favorite stations but since other schools are there for field trips you have to keep things moving.  I love watching him though and seeing those big smiles on his face.  These trips and memories are priceless for sure!

This picture cracks me up because right when I took it Bryce just made this face and said I have to go to the bathroom!

After we left the field trip I had a few shopping errands to do, which Bryce told me he hated shopping.  As long as he could watch the phone he was ok though and when he saw his favorite dog he was happy.  Not only did he sit on the dog but he proceeded to pick the dog up, and then tackle the dog.  Football is an everyday thing at our house but we had to have a talk about tackling dog mannequins...#futurebulldawg

Church Campout

Last weekend was one that we look forward to all year, our church campout at Oconee State Park.  My kids absolutely love this event and start asking about going the minute it is mentioned at church.  We look forward to it too because it is really so much fun being together with so many of our friends and church family.  The kids have all their friends to play with.  They all ride bikes, play kick ball, go to the playground and just hang in their enos.  We all hike, eat, sit by the camp fire and just talk.  We left Saturday morning to go up and had an awesome lunch stop on the way at Hershberger's Bakery.  Once we got there we got set up and then just hung out.  That afternoon everyone went on a hike to Kings Falls.  After our hike we hung out around the camp site and later that evening we played bingo and enjoyed the fire.  The weather was perfect for camping.  It was cool but not so cold you couldn't stand it.  We slept good and stayed warm too.  Sunday morning was a little chilly coming out of our warm sleeping bags but we bundled up and headed to breakfast.  We have a short service around the fire then everyone packs up.  There's always a fun kick ball game between the dads and the kids.  It is quite entertaining for sure because these are some intense, competitive dads!  After lunch we headed back home to wash out the camp fire smell!  As always it was another fun camping trip and we are so thankful for everyone who gets this together!

Happy Birthday to Bryce!

I can't believe my baby boy is now 4 years old!!  Birthdays are so bittersweet because I'm so thankful for each one they have but its so sad seeing them grow so fast.  To say we enjoy Bryce would be such an understatement.  This boy is the sweetest, most fun little boy.  To know Bryce is to love him.  He is so friendly and never meets a stranger.  He may get in a mood sometimes but most of the time he is so fun to talk to and can just make your day.  He is ALL BOY!  Right now Bryce loves to ride his bike and loves all things ball.  For his birthday we set up a little bike course in our church's gym for him and the other kids to ride on.  We also had 2 jumpy houses they could play in.  I think Bryce could ride his bike all day long.  He was so funny because his party was 2 days after his birthday since we had been gone, but he kept saying he wasn't 4 yet because he hadn't had his cake with candles to blow.  So in his mind this party made him officially 4!

Bryce loves McQueen and Mater so we had to tie them into the party!

When you get icing all over you and your shirt!

Hubs couldn't resist a ride on the course...Kate however didn't want to share her bike

Suzy got him just what he needed...some Indian toys.  This got Mama's Halloween wheels spinning!

Bryce got to have another birthday party and Papa and Grannie's house.   Its always more fun to stretch out your birthday especially when cake and presents are involved!  Aunt Vicki even made him a special cow cake because she knows he loves cows!  He got some fun gifts!  A field goal post to practice kicking field goals outside and some more cows and bulls to play with.  This boy really felt the love and loved every minute of his birthday!

Bryce got his final party at school with his friends.  Its always special to celebrate at school!  Mrs. Jessica had a present for him too which he loved!  And I loved seeing him in his classroom with his friends.  He especially loves his friend Becca, and I caught him giving her hugs over and over!

Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate our Bryce!  HE is one loved little boy and we love him so!
