Animal Fun Week

This week we had a lot of fun with animals.  Tuesday Cohen had a fun zoo trip with two of her friends, Carson and Brooke.   Us moms took the kids over to the Greenville zoo.  I love this zoo because it is small enough for them to be interested the entire time your there and they have one of the best playgrounds right outside the zoo that is always a hit!  Cohen still says her favorite animal is the giraffes and we actually saw that the female was pregnant.  I know it would be neat to be able to see the baby once its born.  The mister was still a big hit and had it not been a little cooler on Tuesday, I think they would have ended up soak and wet!  We had a good time and it was great to be able to go when the crowd wasn't too bad.  We had lunch at Chic-Fil-A and made a quick mall stop before heading home.  It was a fun time for all of us!

I got a kick out of this turtle eating his veggies

Waving to the animals

To finish off our wild animal week, we had an alligator visit our preschool today!  The Hart Co. Sheriff and Carson's grandmother, Judy, brought Stitches the alligator to visit.  The kids were amazed at the alligator and it was very cute to watch them go up to pet him.  It is so much fun to get to see their expressions when we have days like this.  Cohen had not shown any interest in the alligators at the zoo so I didn't know if she would be too scared to pet it or not but she was glad to have her turn and walked right up to pet it.  I even had to take my moment to pet Stitches because hopefully this will be the only time we are that close to a live alligator!!
