Spring Break trip and Baby Addison! (a little overdue)

I am way way behind on updating our blog.  I feel so busy lately, like I will never catch up.  I think between the end of the school year and getting ready for a baby it has gotten to me.  Not to mention I have had quite a few picture sessions, but that is fun so I can't complain!
Over spring break we visited one of our favorite places, Hilton Head!  It was so nice to be at the beach.  Cohen is just like me, she loves the beach!  Any time of the year.  We had such a fun time riding bikes, playing on the beach (the water was still very cold though), and Cohen even played putt-putt for the first time.  She loved it!  It was a fun time for us and we all knew that this would probably be our last beach trip before our new little princess comes.
This week I am 33 weeks so we are in planning mode big time!  I am so ready.  I think after the 30 week mark I am done!  I'm not only ready to see her sweet face, but I'm ready to wear cute clothes again!  Cohen is very excited to see her baby sister especially now that she has had a chance to meet her new cousin, Addison, who by the way is absolutely precious!  We have all got baby fever after holding her.  I will have some newer pictures of her to post soon b/c you know her Aunt Ashleigh has taken some sweet pictures of her.  We had a fun session last week where we would take pictures in between me loving all over her :)  Hopefully I will get caught up and updated very soon, but who knows...:)

Big Sister Class!

Last week Cohen attended "big sibling" class at St. Mary's, which is where we will be going in about 7 weeks!  It was a super cute class for her and she really enjoyed it.  She watched a video on being a big sister and then the nurse taught each child how to change a diaper, swaddle, and showed them the things that would be on "their" baby once it was born.  Cohen is going to be a great sister I know!  After doing these things in the classroom we got to go up to the nursery to see a new baby and visit "mommy's room" when I have the baby.  Between this class and actually being at the hospital over the weekend to welcome her new cousin, Cohen is slowly getting prepared!  (As much as we can anyway!)

Little Drummer Girl

I was working around the house last week and when I went to find Cohen this is where I found her....playing Daddy's drums.  Cohen loves music so who knows, we may have a drummer, singer, guitar player, who knows!  One thing for sure, when she turned around and saw me she was ready to show off for the camera!

27 weeks update!

I am now 27 weeks and I am really feeling pregnant for sure!  I went last week for my glucose test and check up and everything is looking good.  This baby girl is really moving and active.  I love that feeling and it is still amazing to be sitting still and your shirt be bouncing around!  Even though I've done this once before, I still find myself looking in the mirror and wondering how in the world can my belly get any bigger!  I know its coming though:)  I am taking extra iron now because my hemoglobin was very low.  Not surprising to me since we always joke that I have "no blood" since I'm always cold!   I am a warm weather girl through and through so this spring weather can't come fast enough.  Here is a picture taken last week at 26 weeks.  I would like to think I haven't grown in a week but looking at this makes me pretty sure I have :)
26 weeks

We have been working hard to get the girls' rooms ready.  Cohen is officially in her "big girl" room.  She is sleeping in the big bed and everything.  I just sat and stared at her sleeping the other night and thought how fast she was growing up.  Yes, I had to shed a tear on that one too.  We were talking at work the other day and said how good it is that we don't know while we're doing things that this will be the last time we do them.  I didn't know when Cohen would sleep her last night in her baby bed and I'm glad.  I'm too sentimental over things like that, and pregnancy only adds to that!  We took this picture of her getting ready for bed.  I just love her room!  I think it is perfect for her and something she will enjoy for a while.
Loving her new bed!

"I'll call you buddy"

Last night, when Cohen and I got home from church, I was making her a sandwich and we were having a conversation when Cohen stopped and out of the blue asked me if I was Mrs. Ashleigh.  She hears the kids at church and preschool call me that and she knows that next year I will be her teacher at preschool.  I'm still wondering how that is going to work for us, but we'll see.  So I told her that I would be Mrs. Mama Ashleigh for her.  She seemed to really think this over and then just looked right at me so seriously and said, "I'll just call you buddy".   I just laughed, which only made her laugh too.  I had to snap a picture since my camera was right there, sandwich in her teeth and all!  She is such a funny girl all the time.

She also wanted me to take her picture holding her leprechaun that we had made.  She loves to do anything that involves me painting her hand.  She was very proud.  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Miss Bubble Face

Cohen's new favorite past time is a bubble bath.  I guess I've been holding out on her by not introducing bubble baths to her sooner.  I really don't know why I haven't.  I can't take them myself so I forget about her, but now she is loving them!  She had me watch her the other night and as you will see below, she was very impressed with herself for making a "bubble face".

More bubbles this time

After her bath we decided to play "beauty shop" and try sponge curlers in her hair.   They actually worked out very good and Cohen loved them because these do not get "hot".   She was so tired that she fell asleep with them in and slept with her curlers in her hair.  It made fixing her hair the next morning much easier I must say :)

Backyard Camping Fun

I've been without my computer for a few days because we are in the process of moving my desk into our playroom since we are now working on Cohen's "big girl" room and Baby girl #2's nursery.    So now I'm going to play catch up on the blog:)
Last weekend when the weather starting spoiling us, Kelly decided he wanted to put his tent up in the backyard and build a fire so Cohen could get a feel for camping.  Most appealing to Cohen was a chance to roast marshmallows.  She loved climbing in and out of the tent and "snuggling" with me inside.  And she really enjoyed the marshmallows!  I took a few pictures of her roasting her own.  Her stick was so long so she could be far away from the fire.   It was a fun night for all of us!
