Pre-4th Fun with the Neighborhood

Saturday we started celebrating the 4th with our awesome neighbors!  I love our neighborhood and love that everyone wants to celebrate holidays together.  We really have a fun time.  A couple of years ago we started a 4th of July tradition where we all get together at our neighbor Meg's house. We start early by eating breakfast together, then we let all the kids have a 4th of July parade.  The kids get to decorate their bikes, scooters, tricycles, wagons, etc... and then they have a parade on our little street.  The kids really enjoy this and so do us adults.  After the parade we spend the rest of the day swimming and then grilling out at night.  Meg has a swimming pool and is nice enough to invite everyone to her house.  We had a great time this year.  Last year Cohen was pulled in her wagon, but this year she was very excited that she could ride her tricycle.  We had fun decorating it the night before.  And this year Kate was our youngest in the parade which was riding in her stroller :)  Afterwards we enjoyed swimming and just hanging out with everyone.  We are so thankful for such wonderful neighbors!
