Even though this is Thanksgiving week, and most people have already focused on Christmas, this mama is still over here catching up on Halloween. For all who read this blog you can thank me in January when nothing much is going on and I'll be catching you up on Christmas! Since this is my busiest time of the year with my work, and 4 kids, well the blog gets left on the back burner. But...we had a fun Halloween this year. Anyone who knows me knows I love Halloween and I love that ALL my kids still dress up and love it too. I can't convince anyone to coordinate much anymore so we are just a mix of what everyone wants to be. Which is really how it needs to be! Coordinating anything is added stress for us mamas and for some reason we love to try and love to kill ourselves trying don't we?!
Well Bryce is our October baby and he is all into SpiderMan so naturally his costume was easy. He had just had his Spiderman birthday party so we have really got some wear out of that costume. HE really gets into playing the part too. He told his entire class his name was Peter Parker and he was 26 years old. Love that kid!
Kate really wanted to be something scary with a scary mask but I said I was buying one costume and that had to be school appropriate too which means no scary masks. She settled on a disco dancer which isn't what you first think Kate would choose but she liked it and it was so cute on her.
Cohen and her bff Josie planned out their costumes together and they wanted to be the spooky little girls from The Shining. They really got into it and looked amazing. We had a quick little photo shoot before our Halloween party and what better place for Halloween pics than at the cemetery. It really went well with their outfits. They got lots of comments on how good they looked and how spooky they looked.
While we were taking pictures Bryce yelled for everyone to come look, that spot was where a baby sheep had died and was buried. Lord love him. It was actually for a young baby or child. This cemetery has some very old graves and they can get hard to read.
Ellington had a few costume options but for our first party she was a lion and I was a lion tamer/ circus master. The costume was a tad bit big for her so this was the only time she wore it. The other events she got to wear big sis Kate's costumes from her first Halloween...a witch and Tinkerbell.
Our first party was our friends Halloween party that we look forward to every year. We love going to Shawn and Nat's house and hanging out with our friends.
When we got home these 2 couldn't wait to light their jack-o-lanterns they had carved. Kate had been determined to carve one because she had never did that. I think we had always painted them. So we definitely had to make it happen and it turned out great. Mama & Daddy had to help her a little.
Another Halloween party we had was Bryce's fall festival at preschool. They had a big trunk-or-treat, inflatables, hayride, and food truck and Kona ice truck. It was such a fun night for the preschool. I
On Halloween day Bryce had a party in his classroom. I loved hearing them all sing their Halloween songs. I made more videos than pictures but I did get this picture showing all the kids having a blast eating snack and looking at their candy and goodies. While all of this was going on inside the classroom, little Ellington snoozed soundly in her seat outside in the hall.
Cohen got to dress up again for Halloween week at baton. Her and some of the girls were hydroflasks. So cute and fitting for them!
Since we left the afternoon of Halloween day for the Georgia/Florida game, we missed trick or treating but Sug and Pop sent us this picture.
Dawn had Cohen and she sent these pictures of them trick-or-treating.
Baby girl made the trip to Florida with me and here she is at the house after the car ride down. She was in her sweet Halloween outfit.
Another Halloween for the books!!
