Recapping September

I know its mid-October but I'm going to have to rewind a little bit and do a little recap of our September.  Something about this time of year, or actually when school starts back, that makes life speed up and move a tad bit faster.  I think its because activities start up, along with school and church and that pretty much takes up our nights.  We have done so much so I want to take it a month at a time for my own memory.  September starts so many fun things for us but the best has to be Georgia football!  How we love our Bulldawgs and spending our Saturdays watching them.  This year we started with several home games so we spent our time in Athens watching the Dawgs win!

Football season always kicks off on Labor Day weekend and we got to continue the fun with a family get together at our house on Sunday.  We have always celebrated Nana's birthday over Labor Day weekend and even though she isn't here with us we still wanted to get together and celebrate her and be together.  We sure miss our Nana so much!

Another one of our favorite events in September is the rodeo!  The girls look forward to this every year and this year we made it a girls night for us moms too.

You know my little cattle barn lover is going to find a bull!

both girls rode the mechanical bull

On the weekends we weren't at the home football games, we were for sure watching them with our friends.  On this particular night the kids were giving us some post game entertainment with their choice of dress up clothes!  Bryce was having fun sampling whipped cream and root beer (which has become a favorite of his).

There were no words for their costume choices and we all dyed laughing at them!  Wyatt's face sums it up!

These 2 cuties started children's choir in September and we had to get a picture!  More footage for their rehearsal dinner in 20 years.

September is Papa's birthday and we celebrated him turning 88!  Bryce got a kick out of his puppy mask

Since Bryce loves getting to go to the "stadium" we decided to take him early in the season.  He does great at the games and we are training him right!  He braved the heat like a champ!  This year was definitely one of the hottest I can remember.

More fun at Grannie and Papa's house!

Not only did Georgia football start but so did football for the Franklin Co. Lions.  We have spent several Fridays at the high school football games.  Cohen now loves to go to the games to socialize with her friends and Kate enjoys that too.  Bryce does not enjoy the canon at the game but he does like the candy...as you can see the blue ring pops are a winner!

He also had fun putting his blue lips right on top of Alan's head!  This became a game when he saw us all laughing at him!

All 3 kids had grandparents day at their schools at the end of September.  The girls always have theirs to tie in with the school book fair and I love getting pictures from Sug of them all having fun.   Sug had forgotten to get a picture of them with Cohen so she went back to snap one and had to find Cohen in her math class working a problem on the board for the class.  She knows the teacher well and he told her to come on in and snap a selfie with her in front of the class.  I love it!

Bryce had his the next day at First Friends!

And I did a post about soccer earlier but I had a few more pictures to share.  Bryce did start soccer this year and on his first practice night he was so excited.  He was especially excited about his Gatorade...

Chaz and Bryce

All that practice wore him out!

Every Tuesday and Thursday we would spend our nights at the soccer fields and I can't tell you how many times we would see the prettiest rainbows!  They were so pretty and we had to snap pictures!

Another rainbow at practice on a different night

Now that school is back in I have a lot of time with my little buddy!  We have a lot of lunch dates, especially at Chick-Fil-A.  He loves to head there from school on the days he goes.  And on the days he's off we have lunch fun too.  And some of those dates are to Bryce's favorite place...the cattle barn.   Free entertainment and good food...we are in.

who can resist this face??!

another visit!
We also have loved having these warm days.  Bryce LOVES to ride his bike!

He loves to use the Harbin's ramps

And sometimes we have to take funny selfies during our lunches.  If you look close in the second one you will see the guy in the background staring at us.  I'm sure he got a kick out of it and I know we got a kick out of him.  We probably are pretty funny but if there's one thing I've learned to do with my boy is have fun and enjoy every single minute I get with him.  He is special for sure!
