AAU Junior Olympic Games, Houston, Texas-Day 2

Day 2 in Houston started early! Our team was second to go so the girls had to be ready to go! Each day they would have a parade of athletes by state to start the competition. We were all so proud to see all the Carolina Superstars walking in!
It turned into a long day quick since we performed so early and then were supposed to wait until after awards. Awards kept getting pushed back. Finally we were given some free time in the afternoon. It wasn't enough to go far so we ate lunch and then let the girls have more pool time...only no going under! Cohen and Sadie had way too much fun playing with the lift in the pool. These girls were cracking us up!
We went back later that afternoon for team awards. The team ended up 4th place in the Advanced Senior team division. We were so proud of them especially since these girls went against teams that had collegiate feature twirlers on them. So many hours of team practice!
After awards we were so glad to have some more free time that we could leave and explore more of Houston. We had heard about the water wall and seen some pictures of it and knew this was one place we wanted to see for sure while we were there. We were not disappointed! This wall was so neat and so pretty! It was one of my favorite things we saw. You can see from all the pictures!
We ended our night with dinner back near the hotel. And one more night swim! While the girls were swimming we enjoyed the rooftop patio and view of the city at night.
