June Recap

After our beach trip we had a fun "rest of the month" of June.  Cohen had her dance recital, we celebrated Kelly on Father's Day, and some fun pool time in between.  Nothing beats summertime in my opinion.  Our sweet Ellington had her 10 month check up in June.  Its so hard to believe she's 10 months old.  (11 months today as I type this!)  Even though this year came to a stop in March it still has a way of feeling like time has flown by.  No matter what our circumstances it seems like time always flies by.  Especially since we're having fun!  Summer also has a way of having us slow down just a little too and enjoy the little moments.

Here's what our month looked like...

Sleepovers with friends and trips to the Vintage Cup after practices!

Cohen was in her 2nd recital as a Carolina Superstar.  Mrs. Hazel and Ms. Ansley have worked so hard with these girls.  When the coronavirus hit and threw so many kinks in their routine these 2 kept the girls practicing hard over Zoom classes.   The studio was able to open again in May and that gave these girls something to look forward to and continue.  I'm so thankful for them and their dedication to Cohen and this sport.

This was Cohen, Lexey, and Baylie's last recital together and I loved that I got pictures during their routines with them right there together.  Cohen has twirled with them both since she started baton 8 years ago!

Another one of the 3 of them right there together

The day after the recital was Father's Day.  This was also the kids' first time back in church.  Kate had went with Kelly and I on the first Sunday we were able to go back but this time the children were able to go back to their own classes.  I love being able to go back to church and see the people that are there.  I can't say enough how I love my church and the people there.  Ellington and I were in the nursery this particular Sunday.  She was pretty excited to be back too, as you can see :)

a fierce basketball game with their Daddy

Sug had Ellington in a trance

Bryce loved squirting Ellington with the water balloons

You can see how heated games get over here...these 2 battling for the water balloon

Ellington went for her check up and of course she was "perfect".  Our sweet girl was weighing in at 19 pounds and is 28 inches long!  She is still off the charts on her head circumference!  Big head means big brain right?!  She did start sleeping through the night finally!  I hate to even mention it afraid I might jinx it, and it will end but I was so thankful!  She is a full on crawler now and pulls up on everything!  I really do dread the day she takes off walking.  She is into everything and puts everything in her mouth!  Thank goodness big brother is a good police!  He is our choking nazi and makes sure nothing is in her mouth.  He takes his job very serious!  Ellington is a BIG time Mama's girl and always wants me to hold her.  Mornings are her happiest and she will play pretty good then.  She lacks for no attention at all as you can imagine!

Since I never did just a 9 month post I'll share that picture here.  You can also see how quickly things change between the 2 months' pictures.  She is so mobile now and wanted nothing to do with laying down.

sweetest Bubba around!

Celebrating sleeping all night...and we have a stomach sleeper

We are really enjoying the pool now.  The water has warmed up and what is better than pool days!?  Kate also had some water fun with her friend Allie.  They enjoyed playing in her trampoline sprinklers!  They also enjoyed her 4 wheeler of course!

We ended our month with another fun pool play day with LeAnne.  The kids had a blast on the water slide. I think they would have stayed all day and night going down it.

Heading into July in full summer mode!  Sweet Summertime!!
