4th of July Fun!

Of course this year the 4th of July had to look a little different because what about 2020 is even close to normal!  We did still have a great day and tried to keep up as much of our 4th tradition as possible. We spent the day with our close friends just like usual only on a much  smaller scale and instead of starting with a big lunch we started after lunch at home.  It definitely felt different not being around everyone that usually is there but we still had a great time and we were so glad our kids got to be with their friends and us with ours.   4th of July is one of my very favorite holidays!  I love summer so it only makes sense with it being one of the only holidays we celebrate, other than birthdays.  I also love our tradition that we keep each year.   Andd....Kelly and I started dating on the 4th.  Just a special day!  We weren't about to let covid ruin it!

This year when it came time for fireworks Kate decided she wanted to be down with the ones who actually shoot them off.  She was all about the little poppers and the ones you threw.  She is my child who has always done well with fireworks.  Bryce made another big step...he has always been afraid of them and does not like the noise (just like big sis Cohen always did).  At New Year's he watched from the steps outside and this time he sat out in the yard!  He did cover his ears most of the time but still that was progress!  Ellington did so good.  She whined just a minute when they all started but then she laid her head on me and eventually I turned so she could still watch and she did.  It was a beautiful show as always!  And I loved the pictures of them with Cohen and Josie on the slide!

He even did a sparkler this year!

Twinning with Jen!

These 4 were loving the little firecrackers!
