Kindergarten Recap

I'm not sure where this school year has went but another has come and gone so fast and my Kate has officially finished her first year of "big school" in kindergarten.  To say she had a good year would be an understatement.  She was truly blessed with the BEST teachers and a room full of sweet friends.  Mr. T and Mrs. Sandi were a parent's dream.  Not only are they good teachers, they were FUN teachers and loved on each child there.  I was definitely sad to see the end of the year arrive.  While I love summer and I'm always on the summer countdown, I just hated to say goodbye to these two.   I didn't get a chance to blog on every event from Kate's kindergarten year, and the end of the year is nothing but a whirlwind so I definitely didn't have time to do a lot then.  So this post is going to sum up so much of the fun Kate had. I think I did better in the first half of the year so some of the holiday party fun has already been on the blog. From class parties, field day, field trips and so much more.  Kindergarten was so much fun and I'm so thankful for the experience she had.  I hope 1st grade will be just as fun!  I think Bryce had as much fun in kindergarten as Kate!  Mrs. Sandi was always so sweet to welcome him and have candy for him.  I even laughed because Bryce was in the elementary school yearbook twice!  Both times with Kate at a class party.  He is going to look forward to his turn one day...mama not so much yet!

Mr. T's awesome kindergarten class!

Fall festival fun

Christmas Party!

Kate & Bentley....only Bentley wasn't feeling the picture LOL

Ready for their book swap
When school returned after Christmas,  Kate was chosen student of the month!

This was for the 100th day of school.  She wasn't quite all smiles, but she was ready to go!

For Valentine's Day Kate made a frog box for her Valentines.  So fitting for her!

Again Bryce was all about the class party and Mrs. Sandi had his chair ready for him

At the beginning of March Kate went with Bentley to Repticon.  Both she and Bentley love snakes, lizards, and pretty much any kind of reptile, bug, insect, frog, you name it!  I think a lot of their kindergarten recess time was spent catching critters and trying to sneak one on the teacher.  A lot of their classmates came to enjoy it too!  Well this particular trip Kate came back with her very own pet-a leopard gecko!  She named her Roxy and we have been enjoying Roxy ever since.  She is a very interesting pet but we have come to love her and she's pretty easy to care for.  It was real interesting the first time she shed her skin.

This was a picture from a friend's birthday party of Kate and her friend Ellie.  Kate loved meeting new friends this year and Ellie was definitely one of those!

As we moved closer to the end of the year, the fun really kicked into high gear!  There were several field trips and fun days!  Kate had a zoo field trip which was right up her alley, especially the reptile house.  The kids were all into each and every cage!

These 3 were all about their maps and telling us what was up next!

After the zoo called for lunch with my girl at one of our favorites!

Kate wore her snake the entire time...this was what she chose to get in the gift shop!
I have to include these softball pictures!  Kate really loved her first season of coach pitch softball.  It was a lot of fun and I think we will be playing this one again!

There was more fun to be had on field day!!  Kindergarten went the first half of the day which was nice!  They were so excited about all of the water games, and they sure had a blast.  I had a blast watching, and Bethany and I even got in there with the 3 legged race!

Mr. T even got in on the fun on the slip-n-slide!

During the last week of school Kate's class had their own awards day in the classroom.  Kate won the chalk award for her great artwork and drawings.

Best buds and they were even coordinating!

And here we are on the last day of school!  Thank you again for an AWESOME year!  We love Mr. T and Mrs. Sandi!!

This was Day 1 of kindergarten.  My little snaggle girl grew up just a little!

Last Day vs First Day!
