Happy Thanksgiving

Our 4 turkeys!

I love Thanksgiving!  It is always one of my favorite holidays and I love just relaxing with the family.   We started our Thanksgiving celebrations with Bryce's Thanksgiving feast at school.  They sang songs for everyone and then we ate.  This is one of the best meals too!  I'm pretty sure I eat and eat for a solid week, and there's no shame either.  Again, another reason why thanksgiving is so wonderful!  I can't believe this was his last Thanksgiving feast at First Friends.  I can't let myself think about it too much or I would be a mess!

his favorite thing to do...touch his sister

Bryce took this picture of us.  He wanted to take a silly picture and even told us what to do.  I'm not sure if we were supposed to be monkeys or what but here we are...

We had to stop at Suzy's for a quick picture because the leaves were so pretty.  The pictures just don't do them justice.

One of our favorite Thanksgiving traditions is spending a few days away at the cabins at Oconee State Park.  This year was our 7th year going up there to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Its hard to believe we've been going that long, but I know we love it and look forward to it each year.  The kids ask throughout the year when is it we go to the cabin.  They just love it.  Being outside playing and having their cousins to play with...what more can you ask for.

Always a silly-always!

After we take our family pictures its time to get comfy and just enjoy everything!  After eating we took a ride over to the playground.  The leaves were so pretty!

The next morning we took a walk over to the office to the store.  This is also where we can pick up a wi-fi signal so we check in on our texts, calls, emails.  We unplug a little but not totally!

Excited every time he saw a duck

After lunch we went to the trout farm and saw them squeezing out eggs from a certain size trout.  They told us they do this once a year so we were getting to see a treat.  It was neat to watch for sure.  We also went for a hike.  We couldn't quite get to the waterfall we were thinking we would get to see but we could see a little through the trees.  Maybe without small kids and a baby we could have a found a way down but it wasn't happening with them.

What little we could see

Ellington was living her best life in the carrier

Monday night we roasted hotdogs, ate chili, had S'mores and hot chocolate and just relaxed.  You can see my views from the couch here.

We had to head back home early on Tuesday morning, but it sure was another fun trip to the cabin.  We will have to start our countdown to next year when we all go back.  So thankful for this fun family time we get, and it was special with us having Ellington.  It's so crazy to see what all changes in just one year!

The rest of our break we spent with more family.  On Wednesday we went to see Frozen 2.  It seems like there's always a movie to see around Thanksgiving so we like to go see one if possible.  I can remember Cohen lost one of her top front teeth over Thanksgiving break when we went to see Frozen (the original).   this was Ellington's first movie!  Of course she was a champ and the minute the movie started she snuggled up with me and slept the whole time.

Then of course Thursday was Thanksgiving and we had my big family over for lunch and then went to Gainesville to Grannie and Papa's.  It had been several years since we got to have thanksgiving with them so that was nice.

I ended Thanksgiving with a little fun black Friday shopping.  Dawn, Meredith, and I had a ball shopping.  This is always so much fun!  We may not know a thing we're going for but we have so much fun while we're out.

Another fun Thanksgiving for the books!  We definitely have SO MUCH to be thankful for!  GOD IS GOOD!
