Monday we took our time in the morning then headed into the city for a great lunch at Company Burger and saw a little of the Sugar Bowl parade. We took in some sights, and we all know New Orleans has plenty, then went back to our house for some rest before heading out again for New Year's Eve.

a good example of how you will see it ALL on Bourbon Street...and it will make you want a shower! |
We had dinner reservations that night at The Court of Two Sisters. It was delicious! We all loved everything we ate, even trying some turtle soup!
Turtle Soup...we were pleasantly surprised at how good this was |
We finished our night with a great concert by Florida/Georgia Line. We also met up with more of our Georgia friends. The fireworks at midnight were awesome! By then we were ready to crash so we headed back to the house. Some of us can't hang like we used to!
Tuesday was game day so we slept in and just relaxed most of the morning. That afternoon we took the world's longest trolley ride and did see some of the prettier parts of New Orleans. We had early dinner reservations at Peche, which was another win. Since the game was a dud, I'm glad the food was on point!
Everything wasn't so picturesque after this photo so we will stop here! Wednesday we headed back home. There's no place like home, right?! It was time to celebrate 2019 with the family and get ready to start the school routines. I have to say I was a little bit ready. Christmas break is great but things are a little depressing after the holidays and I needed some routine! That and some sunshine. All of the rain was a little too much for this mama! So excited though for 2019...its going to be a fun one!
