Happy Halloween!

I can't tell you how glad I was that Halloween fell on Monday this year.  With the Georgia/Florida game always falling the last weekend in October, that sometimes can mean missing Halloween activities which I do not like to do.  I am a lover of all things Halloween!  I was also glad because that meant that I wouldn't miss any Halloween activities at preschool.  Since Halloween was on a Monday Kate had her Halloween party and trunk or treat at school that day.  My kids had gotten a lot of wear out of their Halloween costumes by the time the actual day rolled around and they got to wear their costumes to school so it was one last day to get all the fun out of it they could possibly get!  We started our fun at First Friends with Kate's party.  Because Kate was a tiger for Halloween I had to quickly throw together a trunk or treat idea and went with a zoo theme.  Kate has enough animals to start her own zoo so I had plenty of "animals" to use.  Earlier in the morning they had got to make slime at school and Amy had sent me some pictures of Kate with it.  She had been unsure at first but then really loved it.

Sug and Pop participated in Trunk-or-treat too and their costumes were great!  They were Thing 1 and Thing 2!

Bryce just took it all in...with a sucker of course

The other animals had been pushed aside so the zoo was gone...but these 2 are truly our real life zoo!

Cohen had a Halloween snack at school but parents were not included so I didn't get to see any of her school fun.  Its so sad that once the kids head to elementary school all the fun is cut out.  This Mom is not a fan of that at all.
Baton and tumbling was canceled so we could celebrate Halloween and trick-or-treat.  We all rode our golf cart to Sara and Adam's house.  We all ate together then went trick-or-treating.  Most all of the houses on her street have trick-or-treaters so we had a fun time doing that.  Even Bryce got in on all the fun.  He learned real quick that he could pick out his favorite candy at each house.  The problem was that he wanted to eat it all right there!

Bryce & his friend Jaxton.  Both boys were firefighters.

After we got back all the candy had to be sorted!

Cohen & Brody...can't believe how these 2 are growing so fast!
Kate loved showing me her drink that had an eyeball & spider in it!

I love all the fun that's associated with Halloween.  The food that can be made is so much fun too!  I think I love all things fall which includes Halloween.  We had such a fun time with our family and friends!
The week before Halloween was when Cohen got to celebrate at dance.  She always has a lot of fun at the studio with all of her friends!

Cohen cracked me up when she put on someone's mask...I feel like this a lot of days by the end of the day!

Sweet Maggie came by to see the girls!

I took Kate to story time at the library last week too.  The week's theme was Monster Mash so the kids got to have a little party.  I try to take her every so often because this is the last year I can do it.  I tried not to think that this was our last story time at Halloween.  I am not ready to face that fact!

Georgia Florida 2016

Last weekend was one of our favorite weekends...Georgia/Florida weekend!  This weekend is not only about football but a fun getaway to Amelia Island which is one of our favorite places!  We left on Thursday afternoon.  Blake and Kasey got here around 1:00 and we packed up and headed out.  We had all decided we wanted to stop that evening in Darien to eat at Skippers.   It was so nice eating out near the water!

We made a few grocery stops then headed straight to our condo.  We were staying at the Plantation this year and we really loved it!  On Friday morning while all the guys were out playing golf, Kasey and I not only slept in, but then we headed out to sit and relax on the beach!  Heaven!  I love it there so much and it was so nice to sit and talk on the beach and read.  There were also no little ones needing anything from us, and while I adore my kids more than anything, its always nice to get a tiny little break.  On the beach you could see where a lot of sea debris had washed up on the beach from Hurricane Matthew.  Some of the dunes had been washed away but overall everything was ok.  I know the hurricane hit during low tide which helped a little.

We met up with a lot of our friends for lunch.  The guys had finished golfing and we had showered and gotten ready for the day.  After lunch we did a little shopping then came back to the beach for a little longer before dinner.  We all met up at our normal dinner spot for Friday night.  Our group has about 35 people so we all have a great time!   We all had ice cream after dinner at DeNucci's which is my favorite.  Dole Whips are the best!   We hung out a while longer while the boys played some cards then headed back to our place.

Kasey and I loved this little rainbow peeking out

Walking to dinner and saw this beautiful view
Saturday we got up and made our way to Jacksonville.  We had a great tailgate and just had a lot of fun all afternoon.  We all knew the game might not be the best but it was still hard to watch so many mistakes.   We actually had a woman in front of us who had her book with her to read.  That is a sure sign that things aren't going to well.

One thing about it, its always better to lose when you have a big group of friends to be with.  We left Jacksonville and headed back to our usual after the game spot-Chili's.   After dinner we headed back to the condo and just relaxed.
Sunday we headed back home.  Another place we always like to stop and eat is the Coleman house in Swainsboro.  Don't you love having little spots to stop at on road trips?!  I have some sweet pictures of my girls in front of this house on trips we have made.  Since they weren't on this one, I got one of Hubby and I.  And of course Blake.   We had such a fun weekend. And we were lucky enough that this year Halloween fell on Monday so we didn't have to miss out on that with the kids.   Cohen was in a Halloween parade with ATRM on Saturday night.  She also was a winner in the costume contest. She was so excited to tell me that.  I knew she had a great time.  A HUGE thank you to Sug & Pop, Suzy and Denny, Dawn & Westley, and my sister for keeping our kids and Dooley!  They all had a blast while we were away!

Soccer Champs!

I know I mentioned a while back that Cohen played soccer for the first time this fall.  This was a new sport for her but she had spent time playing here at home and watching her sister play.  We had always encouraged Cohen to give it a try so when she told me she thought she wanted to I jumped to sign her up.  It wouldn't interfere with baton so we went with it.  I don't think she realized how much she was going to enjoy it.  Cohen also had an awesome team!  Not only were these kids awesome soccer players, but they all played so well together.  They were also coached by an awesome coach and we can't thank Frankie enough for all he taught Cohen.  These kids ended their season as the only undefeated team and were the 8 and under soccer champs!!  It was so much fun getting to watch Cohen out on that field and she really did so good!  I was so proud of her for not only playing so hard on the field but for the hard work she put into it.  Before each game she would get so anxious that she might mess up and then she would get out on the field and just turn it on.  We have always told our kids to always give it 100% no matter what they are doing and she did just that.  She even scored and her face doing that was priceless.  I don't know if we will see her play soccer again but I sure hope we do.  I can only hope she has as good of an experience as this fall was!  Way to go Aces!!
The team celebrated their championship season with a pizza and bowling party.  They had a blast and it was a well deserved party for them.
#1 after beating Stephens County in their last game

Cohen & Elliott were the captains of the last game

Cohen & Ada...these 2 have had a blast playing together!

Gotta have the silly one!
