First up was Bryce's Easter party at First Friends. He had a ball hunting eggs!
Kate had an egg hunt at school too but since that day was rainy everything was moved inside and I didn't get to go. Cohen didn't have one. I don't think many of the upper grades had one.
On Easter Sunday we headed to church. It was such a pretty day! We always enjoy family pictures at the beautiful cross at church. This year we also had a photo booth at church where you could get a family picture as well.
After church we went to Sug and Pop's house for lunch and some Easter fun. The kids loved hunting eggs of course. Bryce had a moment when he didn't find the last egg, but the girls were sweet to try to cheer him up.
Our last Easter stop was with my family and we get together at the park in Carnesville each year. It has a great playground for the kids and a great spot for egg hunting so its a win for everyone. These cousins had a blast together. When I look at this picture I can see the boys are really outnumbering the girls! We have done our part on the girl side for sure!
The night before Easter Kate had a little accident. She was jumping off of the coffee table (for some reason, don't ask) and broke her foot. We didn't see it happen and she didn't cry, in fact it was after her shower that night that we saw it for the first time. I knew right away it didn't look good. We didn't go to the orthopedic doctor until Monday and she had been on that foot all day Sunday. When she kept limping we knew again something was wrong so when we went he confirmed that she had fractured a bone on the top of her foot and would be in a boot for 4 weeks. We are still in the boot but she gets around now as good with the boot as she does without and we may or may not be letting her go back to ball now...This is one tough little girl though. Our kids are definitely taking advantage of our insurance this year! I'm beginning to wonder how this new little girl is going to survive in this house!!
Not even 2 weeks before I had been at the orthopedic walk in clinic with Bryce because at preschool he had his elbow pulled out of joint. It was "nursemaid's elbow" and this had happened to Kate when she was younger so I knew a little about it . Once the Dr. pops it back in, he was good to go and felt 100% better but it is very painful until its back in place. He was crying and being so loud in the waiting room that I'm pretty sure they moved us up and got us back quicker! Because I was pregnant I couldn't be in the room for his X-rays so I had to watch through a window. I thought he just looked so little and pitiful but he was brave. Bless his heart! Again, baby #4 is going to hit the ground in survival mode around here!
